Renown Group is delighted to have achieved the highest grade for the KTP programme they’ve recently completed. KTP-Success-Achievement-Renown-Oil-And-Gas

Renown received the assessment from the Innovate UK team to congratulate all of the people involved in the partnership for achieving the outcome and to thank them for their contribution to the success. The company has received a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ in recognition of their achievements.

A KTP (Knowledge Transfer Partnership) is a UK-wide programme, allowing students to work with companies on a specific project, bringing their academic knowledge to benefit the business. The programme allows the graduate to gain valuable experience, and also typically sees direct results for the company involved.

Our KTP associate, Lydia, worked at the Renown Oil and Gas site in Washington where she worked on optimising production on the site to help improve their prospects in the oil and gas industry. Lydia was working specifically to improve the manufacture of superalloy cladded components for offshore marine applications.Renown-Oil-And-Gas-KTP-Programme-Northumbria-University

The KTP was successfully completed in March 2017. Since then Lydia has produced three research papers and spoken at a conference in Zurich on her results.

John Hamilton, Renown Group’s Managing Director has said: ‘We are so proud of Lydia for achieving these results, and well done to all of the employees that were involved in the project and helped Lydia with her work. To gain the highest grade certainly is a brilliant achievement. We are really looking forward to seeing what else Lydia brings to the company now that her KTP has ended.’
